David O. White, MCM, MA, PLPC
David O. White received his BS degree in Biology/Chemistry from Wayland Baptist University in Plainview, TX where he also completed his Masters in Christian Ministry. He completed his Master of Arts in Counseling in April of 2020 and is provisionally licensed under the supervision Fred Barker while he completes his hours of supervision required for full licensure.
David has served as a pastor for 29 years serving in his current church for over 12 years. He has served as a chaplain with Market Place Ministries, and as an adjunct professor with State Fair Community College and Southern Seminary.
He pursued his counseling license out of a deep desire to help people find healing and wholeness in the midst of living in a broken world. His faith in the transforming power of being reconciled to God through the atoning work of Christ fuels his hope in the belief that healing and wholeness is a real achievable goal!
He implements evidenced based therapies of counseling in working with clients to achieve their goals. These include cognitive behavioral, motivational interviewing, cognitive processing, client-centered, solution-focused, reality, and family systems.
David is mindful of the diversity of individual backgrounds, experiences and beliefs extending unconditional positive regard to each and every one of his clients.
